Is this really what this group is a big suggestion box?
Can any policy, however high minded, be moral if it leads to widespread corruption, imprisons so many, has so racist an effect, destroys our inner cities, wreaks havoc on misguided &
vulnerable individuals and brings death and destruction to foreign countries?
Well, over on this post, Liberty said, "We'd absolutely love to receive your suggestions. You can post topics
you'd like to see covered in the Citizen Question Time TeamSugar group. We'll start featuring your suggestions and questions
soon!
I took that to mean instead of complaining about content in post comments, that we should bring suggestions here.
Wow, TS, I totally missed that post! Thanks for bringing this to my attention! You
always find lots of great stories, I bet you will make great use of this group!
I actually should have said posts about same sex marriage, not just prop 8.
Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I am obsessed with the Supreme Court, and I love when Nina Totenberg pulls out funny quotes from the transcripts of oral arguments like when Justice
Breyer said, "when I think of the armed forces preparing an environmental impact statement, I think, the whole point of the armed forces is to hurt
the environment..." or when Justice Stevens said "Well, [adults being intoxicated] is a serious crime in Utah I guess."
I just think Supreme Court cases are super interesting and have a huge impact on our individual daily lives and would make great CitizenSugar content.
I second that suggestion, TS! When I worked for DOJ in DC, all I wanted to do was get a chance to see the Supremes in action....sadly, didn't get to, but I am still hoping for a chance
someday!!!
I third the suggestion. I would really like more variety.

Yay! Here's a list of my suggestions: first off, I love TS's idea about the Supreme Court.
Also - here's list I posted on the Obama GQ thread: Obama's choice as White House Counsel, the automaker bailout, the plunge in the stock market, rumors about Congress' next session (I'm
reading speculation about new tax bills, as to be expected), Obama controlling up to half of the bailout money. Seriously, I could go on and on...
I just found this. Although I haven't been commenting as much lately, I have been lurking around. I would like to see more information on the recounts and runoffs that have been occurring.
There are a lot of legal challenges still going on in a few of these races.
TS - no way! (On the coin toss) I would love to know more information about the runoffs and recounts - those could certainly have an impact on politics in the next 2 years.
I am getting seriously concerned about this site... it's like a gossip blog about politians (best hug outs? Palin poolside with her PC?). It's almost disturbing that the CS folks are
deliberately ignoring huge issues: like the automaker bailout.
More stuff I'd like to discuss: Charlie Rangel, thoughts on why Obama did not attend the G20 conference, Bernanke and Paulson on the Hill today...
Can any policy, however high minded, be moral if it leads to widespread corruption, imprisons so many, has so racist an effect, destroys our inner cities, wreaks havoc on misguided &
vulnerable individuals and brings death and destruction to foreign countries?
I also heard about the coin toss, I swear tradition.

CP did you see the documentary they did on JT - they had one of the members who survived.

I'll start! I vote we limit the number of Prop 8 posts. I think it's been literally ten in the past ten days.

9And frequency, I must say. Some days there are only two or three stories period. And if those don't spark interest, it is crickets around CS.

TS - thanks so much for coming up with this idea!

12Lil K, have you heard about that small town election that was eventually settled by a coin toss (as prescribed by their laws)?
